Hi experts, can anyone please help me?
I have a report which shows the orders between 2 dates. For each of the orders there are 100+ accessories which the salesperson can select. I have 8 in particular which I need to count per order, 4 of which refer to the source (A, B, C, D) and 4 which refer to the type (E, F, G, H). Each of these accessories have a unique ID.
I have inserted 3 groups
Group 1 is on the Salesperson
Group 2 is on the Quote ID (as there is an additional identifier for each vehicle quoted e.g. quote No 12345/A, 12345/B etc.)
Group 3 is on the 'Banding field' where I have specified the unique ID to = the source / type and is sorted into order A-H so that the blanks don't show first.
What I need from the report is to count what accessory has been chosen and the amount that haven’t had any chosen.
My problem is with counting the ones which haven’t been chosen (those quotes which haven't had any of the 8 accessories chosen). So, I have the total of A-H and several quotes where the salesperson has selected A-H ...i.e. 'None'
In my cross tab report the figures are correct for the A-H accessories but it gives the ‘None’ field as the total accessories. e.g. if the total of A-H = 50, then the 'None' field also = 50. I understand that the quote does have an accessory for each entry, but I thought that by grouping them, it would count it correctly, but it doesn’t.
I also tried to put in running totals, but I’ve had difficulty with that too as I can’t get around the fact that the accessory that they’ve ticked, may be the only one chosen in which case my ‘previous’ field check misses this quote in the count. I've tried saying that the ID <> A-H and to count the rest, but it just counts everything.
E.g.
A 10
B 15
C 05
D 02
E 03
F 07
G 03
H 05
NONE 50 ... whereas none could maybe only be 3
Can anyone suggest any solution?
