As you mentioned that you have been hired as SUP trainee in your company. You may check with your unit head if there are some work related to sup in pipeline.
SUP is not only about developing hybrid app but there are also different approaches like native, OData based, with using SAPUI5 for developing apps.
Big question is are you really interested in working with sup/sap mobility?
SAP Mobility is very dynamic and interesting technology in today's market. Don't rely only on SUP, meanwhile you may start learning other technology. Could be OData, netweaver gateway, sap ui5, afaria, Syclo agentry and many more. You may choose any one of these depending on your interest and start learning.
You must have heard about release of SMP 3.0 which is a combined product of sybase unwired platform, syclo agentry, sybase mobilizer. You can check relevant documents on SCN.
You start be active on SCN specifically mobile related spaces. Check out already posted discussions, documents, blogs. Start practicing. There are many mobility experts available all the time to help you in all possible ways. When I started learning sup I was also alone in my company but SCN never ever realised me that loneliness. Everyday I am learning lots of new things from experts being active on scn. It's a great platform to sharp your skills.
I don't know what to say about getting job based on 5-6 months of exp in sup. You should try and I wish you all the very best.
